Bushfield was an army training camp during WWII, trained National Serviceman during the 1950's and trained recruits for the Green Jacket Brigade between 1961-1964. Other than that, very little is seemingly known or published about this site. Many of the buildings have long gone but there is alot to see, although nature or rather the summer has definitely taken over - the firing range was barely recognisable today.

Onto the pic's...

Several of these holes dotted around, all filled now but i remember my brother taking me into one when i was younger, although it was just a room. Whether there was more than one, i'm unsure.

Nice one H.

I used to go there over 20 years ago to buy the timber and bricks from when they were dismanlting the place.

The chap got killed there in the end when a lorry was parked on the hill without the handbrake on and rolled into him :(
