grafton underwood revisited

weelllll good evening to everybody ,,me and the good lady decided to do a bit of mooching about at grafton to pass a few hours ,,so thought we would go local and venture further afield to see if we came up with anything new to us that we hadnt seen before and yes indeedy we did ,,so i know its probably been seen umpteen times before but not with my beady eye and it will give you a break from t;lompics,

looks like the well ,,but it has a pipe going into it ,,maybe it was added later ????it is fairly deep mind

just a couple of pics from today when we found one off the mushroom top pill boxes at grafton first stop more reports coming from other locations

the concrete is falling away in places and the reinforcing rods showing but on the whole its in good nick ,going out tuesday to find the others

thanks u.p ,there really is so much spread out on this site ,and i used to explore it first when i was about 11 years old with a mate just mooching round the buildings ,,now im 42 im still doing it but its a shame its all decaying but i suppose we all do with time ,,,the site has been covered by so many people but when youre there its as if your the only one whos found it ,,,a lot of history

A nicely exposed staton there. That well could be a waste sump. Great photos.

thanks dude we are trying to learn more as we go along and doing loads of research ,,hopefully in the near future i will upgrade my camera and get to a lot more places

All a learning curve that I find never gets dull. The how, why and wherefores add the interest prior to and after a visit. The unexpected adds an additional incentive.

i know ,,i can think back to the first time i went to dover castle and into the tunnel network there and just thinking about what went on and the sites and smells its an awesome place
