RAF Trimley and associated buildings.

i know very little about these structures but there were three buildings. the main structure, a structure set furthure into the field and an old pill box style building.

Great pictures thanks. What was with the big wheel thing, obviously belt driven some sort of grinder I wonder?

trimley radar we visited a couple of years ago, looks even more overgrown now. shame the other buildings a bit further along were blocked off.

that big wheel was next to a hole in the wall wich went out to what looked like water tanks, the floor in the biulding was a sort of grid pattern, it could have been something to do with water cooling, pipes running beneath the floor in water being pumped by that wheel, this is the modulator biulding by the way.

did you find the relief bunker out the back, its in the field near the long biulding, sadly it was flooded right to the top when we went.
