i will try my best on my first thread. XD
since no one has done a thread on it yet i thought i would give this one ago!

this is a very vast site and i will try to cover as much of it as i can. i have split it up in to three parts. and i will do the accomadation areas in separate threads.

first off i started at the old ammo bunker.

what a well camoed bunker it is. i found it hard to find.

then after a time wondering weather to go in through two meters of brambles i diecided not to.
i then took a mosy up to the main enterance. and wow! no way i was getting in there

the windows were all done in and no posible way to the enterance. 0.0

after a while looking around i went up the main road. on the way up i found this sorry site.

it was an old air raid shelter for the WAAFs. untill it was filled in and a skip put on top of it. :icon_evil
carrying on down the road i found my self in front of a large gate to the pig farm. so i followed the road to the left to try and find the first pillbox. not an easy task. with the help of a long stick ,i found it in a terible state.

this and only one other window were visable.

i didnt dare go inside.

i am not sure what type of pillbox this is. so covered up i couldnt tell!
the pillbox must have been the defence for the back door i guess. these gates are the only part of original fencing left on site. pretty amazing though.

the view from the pillbox.

where that overgrown patch is there are a pair of very dangerous underground bunkers. back ups for the main reciver and transmitter bunkers.
when the brambles and overgrowth have died down in the winter i shall return for better imagery. i did get more pics of the transmitter bunker and another pillbox. but my phone went in to spas and deleted them. will include them in next thread. thanks for viewing.
that is part one for now.
to be continued.

good to hear its being looked after
is it being restored ?

well i would say that the only thing that would need restoration is the exterior. the interior as you probably have seen is in original condition. and yes it is cared for.
