The Atlantic Wall was an extensive system of coastal fortifications built by Nazi Germany between 1942 and 1944 along the western coast of Europe as a defense against an anticipated Allied invasion of the mainland continent from Great Britain.

Sadly time wasn't on my side and i didn't scratch the surface but it was a interesting visit nonetheless.

Nice shots chap will be driving past these at some point later this year may use them as a back up if we have some time :)

Place must be a teenage lover's dream! We have some old fortifications around here. Not worth exploring as such, but often, if you visit, you find used condoms, bras, knickers (and the sizes indicate young uns).

Ah well - I was young once.... but back then, we had to watch out for the smugglers!

there's a surprising amount of not bolted down metal left thereabouts - don't get the same with the Guernsey defences or from what I've seen of the danish ones either - seems in remarkably good nick

This is a great report, lovely concrete structures, great pics, thanks for the share

Awesome set there, shame you didn't have time to fully explore it, would be great to see more soon!
