BEFORE I START, TAKE WARNING THAT IF YOU KNOW WHERE THIS BUNKER IS, AVOID STEPPING ON THE WET FLOOR AS YOU COME IN, AS WE'RE 90% SURE THAT THERE'S A LIVE ELECTRICITY MAIN IN CONTACT WITH IT - WE'RE LED TO BELIEVE THIS AS WE WERE STARTLED BY A SERIES OF LOUD BANGS AND ODD BURNING SMELLS FROM THE CORRIDOR. The site isn't easily accessible, but the necessary authorities have been informed to stop anyone getting hurt.

Anyway, on with the report...

Visited with Prickly Buzz and darkhole.

Getting in was...interesting and after floundering about for a bit and Prickly Buzz ripping another pair of trousers, we were in! :D

A very interesting place, with some well preserved and lovely features! It is believed site itself served as a communications facility for naval forces, possibly with the purpose of relaying information back to GCHQ.

Subsequently I got very few photos due to our freak out, but here they are anyway!

Original bogs!

Nice old doors. Plenty of beautiful fittings still extant.

Many thanks to Prickly Buzz and darkhole for their excellent company and vigilance. :D

Wow the place has gone down hill a bit since last time I was there, me and fluffy went a few years ago and
It was dry as a bone.

There is a thread on the mil section about it.

Cheers newage

I can only imagine that it was from all the big storms that we had. Could be x100 worse to be fair. I regard it as one of the last diamonds in the rough in the area.

Blimey never seen water in there before now, I had heard it was now sealed. obviously not
