Long time viewrer first time poster her.

Living around the corner from the ex airbase I decided it was time to go for a wander.

This place now has 24/7 security and being a local dog walker I noticed there is a shift pattern. Time it right if you want a visit as one of these patterns has a very hungry looking security dog and I wouldnt recommend crossing him after hearing him shouting.

The rest of the time though if you keep your head down you should be ok.

I will post a few snaps on here when i have worked out how and plan to go back for a more in depth explore when its the right time.

I live locally as well and am very interested in getting on and snapping some pics. Just havnt been able to find a decent place to get in. Any suggestions?

Norfolk King - Please note that the Former RAF Coltishall Estate must not be accessed without prior approval from the management. As you have tresspassed on the Estate which is used primarly by Norfolk and Suffolk Constabulary for training I have passed information relating to your visit to the aforementioned Authorities. We will also notify the website administrator in this regard. Followoing your post security patrols will be adjusted and increased. For the avoidance of doubt please do not access the former RAF Cotishall Estate again. We will take strong action against tresspassers on the Estate.

Hi Derelicthunter90, The former RAF Coltishall Estate will be taking part in the heritage open day events with 6no guided coach tours being held on 11 & 12 September. This will provide an opportunity for anyone interested to come and see the Estate and learn about its history. Good to see this place again, thanx for update! I often wonder wots happened to this site as I visited it couple of years ago when the council were taking back handers to get hold of it to demo it....locals wanted it as a museum as it has a Listed Runway....I bet the council has their way as usual
