Post RAF West Raynham - Dec '15

I've split this into a couple of reports: We had a good six and a half hours uninterrupted around here! I took around 300 photos so getting them down to around 30 was a nightmare! Here's the best of the rest of the site (Offficers mess is in a separate report). Visited with Jon and Mikeymutt.

The Airman's Diner: (This had an identical layout to the Sargents Mess at RAF Upwood) but no graffiti.

    That Foyer tho...

    Peely Kitchens:

    Poor fella:

    Dining Room:

Accommodation Blocks: These were really boring, the only cool bit was the underground air raid shelters:

    The Boiler House:

    :o

    Chimney:

    Guard House / Telephone Exchange:

    Control Tower:

The view from the tower: It was grim!

    Hangar:

    Gas Decontamination Centre:

    Misc:

    Thanks for looking:

Lol afraid not - I looked at the ladder caked in pigeon s**t, then looked at my hand which was open and still bleeding and thought: "Ahh, I'll leave this shot for DirtyJigsaw to take..." :p

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
