First stop was Billesdon post, a 1968 closure. The surface features are not too bad condition, and its still enclosed in its original compound which is very overgrown. On the inside there is no original items (some are scattered outside) and there is smoke damage and graffiti.

Next was Cold Overton, a 1991 closure. The inside is good condition with many items remaining, however on the surface there has been some damage to the concrete on the vents.

The first one looks very sorry for itself. Looks totally stripped out, was there nothing in there at all? and noticed on the first pic, little black pictures of what looks like 3 people going diagonally left upwards, and 2 of what looks like aircraft pics, is that right? haven't seen those on them before.

The second looks in good condition, nice to see most of the stuff still in there.

Cheers,

:) Sal

Nothing at all left in it, there were a few odds and ends scattered around on the surface, looks like they had been thrown there shortly after closure by how rotten it all was. And the little black pictures, they were some kind of stenciled graffiti, bit odd as i've only ever seen that kind of thing in city centres!

Haha don't blame me

At least nothing happened to me today, other than cutting my hand and getting covered in orange juice

another comedy day out was good to check up on these 2 posts although im quite pissed off about the damage to Cold Overton, happened in the last few months (i forget when i was last there but check regularly) only to find this time the cap nocked off the vent shaft by the hatch, its not light either som im guessing the farmers given it a wallop with some machinery
