I visited the Dover Cliffs with jsp77, Malenis, and her partner. It’s a great day out for walking and visiting the war defences; dotted along the cliff are sound mirrors, pillboxes, and deep shelters.

The White Cliffs are hugely iconic in Britain - and for the most part, that's due to their place in military history. They sit across the narrowest part of the Channel, facing towards continental Europe at its closest point to Britain and forming a symbolic guard against invasion. It was this landmark that greeted the thousands of Allied troops evacuated from Dunkirk by the famous 'Little Ships' of World War II.

I don't know who the person in this shot is, but he was sitting right where I wanted to!

You have captured it well Rubex, some nice shots. Was a great day out.

I think the one the artist is talking about was the one that had the spiders in.

Beautiful photos here Rubex. That sound mirror is very cool indeed. Could you hear sounds when you stand in front of it?

Looks like you had lovely weather on the coast that day, brilliant blue skies:)

Like the sound mirror! That guy sitting in your spot, it's not on is it! I know the feelin, your head says oh give him 5 mins and after that just give him a little push:hopelessness:..no I wouldn't really, I'd crawl up behind him and go boo:devilish: hopefully he was just enjoying the view and thinkin of chuckin himself in!

Love the last shot of the sheep, looks like they are enjoying a bit of an explore to esp the ones on the mound:) Thanks Rubex!
