I have had a quick look here years ago.but decided to have a little revisit as I liked the air crews graffiti in the canteen area.a nice enjoyable relaxed walk around here.i did two bits of the site.first the technical area then the headquarters site.the airfield designated station 125 was constructed in 1942 and was in use till 1955.it was built as a satellite for RAF Hardwick.the runway measured 6,000 feet and had two secondary runways.the airfield was used by the US airforce as a bomber stationit was designated to the navy after the war and became known as HMS Europa, then returned to the RAF till closure as a maintenance sub depot.

this block was tiny and not a lot to it,filled with junk.but this bombsight and repair building had its original ventilation system in it from the forties.

Interesting one, can't quite work out what the machinery is for but I think it could be for winnowing, whether it's cereal or legumes I don't know, enjoyed it though, Nice One Mikey, Thanks

Nice one Mickey. The buildings are still in good shape and most have their original paint on the walls. The machine could be a corn/barley seperator or something of that ilk.

Thank you all for the lovely commentsevenn found a sink for you smiler.the agricultural machine had things sticking out the window so may have been in use indoors
