    Default RAF Upper Heyford

    Hi there,

I've seen many interesting posts here and elsewhere about this old RAF location. However, I'm unable to find anywhere if it's still accessible? As in if it's still standing and not been turned into a new housing development or the old facilities turned into shops?

    Many thanks in advance :)

It's almost entirely gone now. The only derelict part left is around half of the old school on the western edge of the base, however you can still arrange tours of the bunkers and hardened aircraft shelters on the airfield through Heyford Park who own the land.

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
