Would never have got in without my good friend large pig who did the recce's, the driving, the organising (the hard work)
access was interesting to say the least, but when inside was worth it. i'm sure everyone knows the history of the cathedral of doom, but basically this place held 100 nuclear warheads ready to be fired in 90 seconds. The blast doors had to be at least half a meter thick, and could only be operated so many times an hour to avoid them breaking. There was evidence that something had snapped at the entrance to one bunker, see my first image and note the metal rungs on the floor. the force to break them must have been incredible.
spent a good two hours on site, to be honest other than the bunkers and the other storage rooms not much else to see other than the bullet proof glass entrance!
enjoy the photos
