RAF Goldsborough R2 CHEL ROTOR Radar Station. John Craven Special!!!!

Hi Guys,
Well, thought I'd take a trip up the road to see whats left of the old 'RAF Goldsborough' ('JEX') R2 CHEL ROTOR Radar Station. Totally trashed now, from what it was like a few years back. Been set on fire and trashed by the nice local chavs

Came very close to taking a bath down here! Some a##hole had made a little trap by covering an entrance way into the flooded out basements with bits of flimsy rotten wood! If you went in there I dread to think what would happen, good possibility of never coming out again. Quite worrying really....

On the way out 2 cars pulled up just outside the site, Thought it was the police at first. Then John Craven jumps out! They were about to do a piece for Countryfile. Very nice fella, and the crew were very chatty. Bit odd coming out of there and bumping into the old Newsround Anchor. Good though.

Yeah, that is very sad to see the Radar Station like that. It looked a really good place before those mindless idiots got hold of it.

The place looked great before they got they're hands on it, its a shame they've left it in that state. :'(

Great you got to meet John Craven tho, he's great. Will have to keep watching Country File now then and see it.

Good you missed falling into the flooded basement. Goes to show, you have to be careful visiting these old places.
