Came across these as we strolled across the old air-field at Montrose. Not much to see but they were quite interesting to explore as you could get in and climb out via the ladder rungs.

This looks like the target raising mechanism on a rifle range.

Quite correct, pics are of the concrete target butts on the rifle range. The 'ladder' rungs lead to the small protected 'exit'. However this is not an exit, it is where the range safety flag was attached to the halyard of the flagpole. You can see the rusted stump of the pole adjacent to the raised wall.
 
Not to sure what that was shatters.
That was it basically foz101, 3 air-raid shelters (very samey) and that rifle range building.
