With the recent discussion into WW2 Fuel depots, i thought id best publish a report on this one I visited early this year....
There were two in this area, with the other recently been demolished for housing....
From what i can see these are nothing to do with PLUTO, as no record linking plymouth to the sites futher upcountry can be found.... I believe the depots in the area were to fuel the warships in devonport dockyard as it was the biggest naval docks in the country at that time....
Links also tie these sites to fueling D-Day landing craft and RAF Mountbatten....
This site is very overgrown, so i feel the brambles hide many secrets....
