a re-visit as i was in the area, had a mooch round here early 2007 with my dad on a cold wintery morning he was a bit on edge and wasnt up for venturing to far in so thought i would take a propper look around

a massive chunk of the woodland has been cleared where theres some ancient earthworks, i was fearing the worst that the stanton shelters had been filled in

diving deeper into the undergrowth i kept coming across ATV tracks and pheasant feeders as the wood is now used for keeping game birds, almost walked into this blue thread/string/wire/laser which was a bit odd

finally came across one of the stanton shelter but while i was in there i heard an ATV type thing go whizzing past so soon got myself back onto the road

invisable (even to the Germans) the whole base was within woodland i think the horsa gliders operated from here
