*UPDATE*
Massive PadLock now on door!

This is a simple quick update of RNAS Portland, Dorset.
Basically its been trashed.
The main front door is wide open, and a door which leads to the electric switchroom is open. Also, the telephone bo, had a smashed window, theyre all smashed now. More cable is lying around, and a hose-pipe has been unrolled down the stairs.

Heres the lighting control boards, in the tower.

The main exchange room has been done in too, computers pulled apart.

All windows to the rear of the building have been meshed over with metal.

Electric room rear of building, cables pulled up from ground.

Anyways, this will be devastating news to some, but if you want to get down there, before its all gone, its best to do it now. I know ill be very sad, until I find the people who did it.
Thanks for reading, Tom.

Pikey Hunting...Ni-iice one, great idea...!
The worst thing is, no-one seemed to care, when we simply walked through the door!!!
So, even if there was a pikey walking in there, no-one would stop him! And the lack of police on Portland doesnt help either, its got nothing for it!

Nooo...More news!

Noo.
I heard rumours of a possible Hotel for the RNAS, which I didnt think was true, BUT according to THIS SITE it coul well be.
In the picture, the original RNAS building, can be clearly seen, so, theyll be using the shell, and tearing out the insides. No, dont get me wrong, I dont like the idea of it being knocked down, but, turned into a hotel!
Its a sad story and idea, but, in a way, I also absolutely love it! The views from the tower are amazing, and with the Marina being built, and the Olympics (Which I dont like) with an abandoned building doin nothing, it wouldnt look good for the local area. And, Castletown is a, to put it blunt, skanky area, without the marina, new S&R centre, and Ocean Views, so something like this, would really compliment the area, and be a sad, but good start, to a greta ending for Portland's beloved RNAS.
Sorry about the double posting, I shoudve done more research, and sorry for coming across a bit contradicting.
If I get any more updates, ill post them up, Tom.
