A very cold and windy night last night ended up with us being in the Old Community Bank at RAF Upper Heyford. Was a cool little place felt a little wierd maybe what it would be like if we were robbing a bank a night lol. All the same some interesting things.

Inside everything was pretty locked up but as i opened a cashiers draw there were hundreds of Keys so after 20mins or so trying them in certain things we had the vault open and all the other rooms, draws and cupboard. No cash or Gold bars like i was hoping for

All that was left was paper work, keys and Money tags oh and plenty of cobwebs no one as been in there for a very long time by the looks of it.

History

Well not a great alot to say.Building 404 was built in the 1950's after the Americans moved in to Heyford and shut in 1994 when the base closed. It was a fully functioning US bank dealing in US Dollars for the seviceman and familys on the base as in all the Shops and Facilities at Upper Heyford only excepted US Currency.

great explore! Nicely lit! And well done for having the patience to try all the keys!

Just who exactly do you think you are fooling here?

Come on, share the weath. :mask:

Face it, that bank's probably got more cash than the ones we bank with these days!

If ever there was a room on an explore where I'd jam something in the doorway, that's it. Good find!

For a American Bank the building seems to have a very agricultural building feel to it.
