These are on the airfield site but may pre-date the airfield by about 20 yrs

AHA. Somebody with access to Walney.

Got a question here... been looking at GE for the supposed battle HQ. And ot looks as if there are TWO of them within yards of each other. Yes? No? Maybe not even a battle HQ here at all???

I'm due to lead down to Lancaster at some point, but won't bother with the detour if there's nothing there, or access is awkward. So local knowledge would be cool.
 
There is definitely one extant but either blob could be the BHQ I'd love to know which it is.

The battle HQ is still extant, but the airfield is live and owned by Bae systems, so is not open to the public, also the the Battle HQ is right infront of the Control tower and readily visible :(

The marked blob is correct. The others are stacks of hay bales.
