Thanks to Kaputnik and Mabs for the heads up about this place and the great company! :)

Shamelessly stolen from the all knowing Wiki.....

RAF Nocton Hall was a 740 bed hospital under RAF control from the 1940s until 1984. It was used by civilians and forces personnel until 1984, when it was leased to the USAF as a United States Air Force wartime contingency hospital. During the Gulf War, over 1,300 US medical staff were sent to the Hall and many were billeted at RAF Scampton. Fortunately only 35 casualties had to be treated. In its later days 13 American personnel remained to keep the hospital serviceable. RAF Nocton Hall was handed back to the Her Majesty's Government by the USAF on 30 September 1995.

The Hall is in a pretty bad way, luckily the shelters lurk relatively untouched in the dingy basement level

The Hospital has been pretty smashed up by the helpful locals, however it's worth going just for the huge central corridor, standing in the middle the two ends disappear into tiny points, I would suggest you make the trip and see it for yourself....

Really enjoyed visiting this place, as part of our mini Lincolnshire explore,
My fetish for scary looking windows was more than satisfied here....

Very unsafe staircase...A bit reminiscent of the M.C Escher never ending stairs

Excellent pics guys, it looks like you had a good day for it. That corridor is awesome, I couldn't believe the length of it when me and Mendo went.

We haven't done the hall itself yet, so have to go back at some point adn do that.

Excellent pics, love this place.

:) Sal
