If these buildings are not ww2 please post in the right section, I have no idea what any of it is and would like to know, so if some one can help identify what they are that would be great. There will be a google map link of the area as there are alot of them in the area.

Now that is just plain weird. No doubt somebody will be in the know, but to me, some of the areas in the linky look as if there was a massive concentration of AA guns in the area. Not see some of those style of buildings anywhere either.

I need to know more. Hurry up somebody!!! :D

I have seen the same type of building up here on the East Coast but I have not got a clue what they are.

It's very intruiging. Could it be an ammo factory? Somewhere were they assembled shells? I have no idea just speculating on the distance between the buildings and what have you.

Buildings.

The buildings in the first pic look like explosive/ammunition assembly units, they would have had a light roof and front wall which would blow out/up in the event of an accident (Keeping the blast from adjacent units)?

Wow, now that is interesting! The materials and style certainly look WW2, but not quite the same as usually seen...although I'll bet on it that they are!
I'll go with those that reckon it's to do with ammo assembly or testing as they've got the look of butts about them too, but other than that I dunno!
Very nice find, nat. :)

Yeah, the Curtis and Harvey factory. I drove along that bumpy road then it lashed it down so i gave up!

Cheers for working that out for me, there are a couple of other buildings i wanted to get to there but the maze of rivers are imposible to navigate without looking at google maps 1st. Walking towards them you cant see them until you are right on top of them and then you need to work out where the crossing is, which are not always spotted straight away.

Yeah I know, it's an absolute maze down there, impossible without planning a route!
Looks like an interesting site though, Wish It hadn't rained on me.
Did you know Stanley Kubrich filmed part of Full Metal Jacket on the marshes there?

Its apparently a WWI munitions factory (As opposed to WWII, sorry Foxy - just the school teacher in me trying to escape!) - Alan Turnbull makes reference to it on his Secret Bases site . There was a balloon/airship base not far from Cliffe during WWI so it may have been connected to this. Great pictures Nate - a real good explore! :)
