I discovered this gem while I was out on my deliveries with work and as nobodygirl and I had no luck at another site we decided to climb up the embankment and have a look.
I have managed to find out thanks to a helpful couple walking their dog that the line ran between Cauldon Low quarry near ashbourne to fenton in stoke on trent and the lines are mostly all there apart from one stretch that has been turned into a trail for walkers.
There are talks of them re opening the line in the future.
Heres my pics and sorry for the dark edges, me being the plank that I am put my lens hood on wrong.
At the top of the embankment we were greeted with this
A signal post???
A line switching thingy
Signage
End of the line where the trail starts
And a tunnel near the start of the trail
Thanks for looking
