Right a bit of a strange one this. Its not really a report as such but just something i came across whilst out exploring. Basically this is a building that is being constructed for the new Harry Potter film named 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows'! It is located on Freshwater west beach right between the sand-dunes and the beach itself. As the construction is still in the early stages it still has scaffolding surrounding it. Security is very tight so all picks are from a distance.

Bloody hell, thats brilliant! What a find, in a superb location. Good job you knew it was for a film set, imagine just stumbling across this one night

Its quite surreal walking along the sand dunes and then finding this structure. Its a beautiful location and feels very secluded. The main body of the house is built up of huge Clam-shells. Has anyone read the book and know what the building is called:question:
Much love.

That must be an awesome sight, I'm down there wednesday so will pop over and have a look.

Anyone going down the technium centre on the 9th for the casting sessions for Robin Hood?

Well done getting a report on a film set, even if from a distance. Might be worth trying to blag your way in, or pretending you're supposed to be there. Failing this, wait until the film's been made and then get in quick, as it won't be around for much longer.

I found the film set for Saving Private Ryan on Google Maps (here). It also was visible on Flash Earth (Microsoft Live Maps), in the disused aerodrome in Hatfield, Herts, so I went to investigate, thinking I was going to get an unusual report in.

Shaving Ryan's Privates more like. Not only had everything been removed - there was no sign on the ground that anything had ever been erected there. I took some not very exciting photos of a few small WW2 vintage buildings around the airfield and left disappointed. I did see a barn owl but it had flown off before I got the chance to photograph it.

I assume a similar fate awaits your find.
