although technically not 'Derelict' I thought I d put up some pics of this bridge simply because its a pretty little thing and I know a lot of folk on here love fancy cast Iron,(yes you Shucky!)

this bridge is in the grounds of Rendcomb College and junior school, which caters for the spoilt brats of the obscenely rich,I dont think it was ever anything to do with the railway (the nearest being a few miles away at Withington) also it has a weight limit of only 4 ton

I only managed one shot on top of the bridge, they were holding a sports day on the other side of the bridge and I didnt think it wise to be caught lurking in the shrubberys with a camera!!!!

Ah, thought you'd like it!! ;)

You were right mate its certainly a beauty, yet you reckon its of no known Railway origon! It makes me think of the craftsmenship and pride that went into making it, and the hours!:)

strange aint it, its right next to the big old manor house, now the college, as far as I can see it was only ever used for access across the road below, it certainly looks 'railwayish', but like I said its got a weight limit of 4 tons, (could have been for Hornby OO,)

No your 100 per cent right Ric. There is no way that could hold a locomotive. Probably just a folly in a way beings its part of the college.
