Queens Hotel Rooftop, Leeds- July 09

The need to do another rooftop came back with a vengance last night, so after failing to get past the reception of one building and failing to find a way out of the lift machinery room of another, I ended up on top of the Queens hotel at about 1am. Not the highest building in the world but it still has some pretty good views of the station and the city center. This Rooftopping stuff is pretty addictive.

Nice,

Does it actually get dark in Leeds in July? In Inverness, we have perpetual daylight for most of the month. True does get darker, but not truly dark:)

I know what you mean about addictive rooftops. Sadly about 5 stories is as high as we get in this neck of the woods.

Yeah, but not till about 11, cheers peeps:mrgreen:

It's 10.30 here and still very light outside. We planned our most recent rooftop shenannigans for 4.30am, as that would give the Saturday night rabbble time to disperse, the rozzers to "move along" and the taxis to bugger off(they directly overlooked our access point.) Sadly Zimbob was running late, so it was gone 5 and near broad daylight before we got up there. The upside of that is that tripods were not required. The downside was that the taxis were starting to reassemble. A little bit of lateral thinking was required to make our egress discreet.

So how do you get on the roof of a hotel? Just brass neck it through reception, and take the elevator to the top floor?

I'll have to get dressed up, doubt they'll let me in wearing cargo pants lol

That said, I have my eye on something a wee bit bigger, and probably a hell of a lot harder to get to.
