I think this was done on here a while back, but I decided to give it a shot myself since I was down there on holiday last week.

The day was sunny and warm, perfect conditions really.

No history really on this place that I could find, but it's been abandoned for quite a good length of time. No internal shots i'm afraid as access was a bit risky as the chalet is located pretty much in the middle of a holiday site so I had to be quick and discreet. I did try to poke the camera through some of the open windows but it was not going to work so gave that up as a bad job.

The site has recently been bought and the new owners are starting to clear the place as can be seen by the undergrowth piled up around the outside. I think the guy who did this place previously on here, said at the time of their visit, the chalet was pretty much hidden out of sight by the undergrowth. But fortunately as the new owners have kindly cleared some of that undergrowth away, much more of this place can now be seen.

Anyway, on with the pics. Enjoy :)

Thanks for looking :)

Nice shots there! I am Black Shuck, and I took the shots of the Chalet last time around. Nice to see that the place has been bought and is finally being done up! When I was there last time the place was like a bloody jungle!

Nice to hear from you Black Shuck. I'm sorry I had to refer to you as "that guy" but I could not remember your name. When I saw your post it made me want to go and look for myself and as I was going to be in that area, I thought I would track it down.

Did you manage to date when it was abandoned? I saw some certificates on one of the bedroom walls and I think they were dated around the early 1980's? :)

I also saw a childs name tag on the door of a bedroom. No I didnt manage to get a date for it unfortunately although judging by the state of it I can definetly believe it being the 80s! Did you manage to get in?

No i did'nt manage to gain access as it was a bit risky at the time. With all the undergrowth gone, it left the site very open to the rest of the chalet site. I really wanted to look inside tho. :(

Bad luck, I had the same problem Marshall! I was restricted to leering through windows! Along with that trying not to get impaled on pesky Brambles.:(

I know what you mean. I would really like to see inside it tho, but I don't think it will be long now untill the new owners do something with it.
