I don't want to say where this is, due to its not worth the risk visiting it :icon_evil if you get my meaning.
If you want to know more please PM me.
Visited with Faz, thanks for the company (and for keeping an ear out!!)
Basically, it was a purpose-built TB hospital, which opened in 1899. These "timber framed prefabricated hospital building" are, apparently, pretty rare.. Originally there were also moveable wooden huts in the grounds, in which patients could spend all day (and all night if deemed necessary) in the fresh air without facing into the wind.
I can't find when it closed for this puropose, but it was opened in its most recent guise in 1997.
It's literally only just closed so it's perfect still, peeped in through the windows but sod the inside - look at all that timber framing ;)

That's only a bit of it - but we were 'interrupted'.
It was one of those "Oh My God" moments

Rehab centre with a certain regal connection if I'm not mistaken? ;)

Nice find. Shame you didn't get left to explore undisturbed!

Hypo, yes, a regal connection indeed ;)
If you're willing to risk it, it's definitely worth it - 'specially since it's up for auction and is "desirable for adaptations" whatever that means!!
Digital, yes, I did. Next time, in the summer house, hopefully not ;)

I forgot to post my favourite photo from the explore.

That place looks cool, not a lot of all timber buildings like that in this country...

Can I suggest you re-write your description of it though if you're trying to keep it anonymous as since it's copied and pasted from another site, it's very easy to find the other site!

Hope you have some time to take a proper look around uninterrupted :)

Shucky, Arts and Crafts? Not sure... accomodation, from what I could tell.
Maybe if there's time on Saturday?

Arts and Crafts was a movement back in the ealy 20 th Century who had a certain Building style that was very popular in Eas Anglia. It included buildings like Cromer Railway Station, Holt Station, Mundesely Treatment Centre from what I can see and also The Old Fletcher! Its a certain style of building thats very famous.

I hope it stays well maintained and Pikey free. Dont blame yer for your location secrecy. Ive really never seen anything like thus before.

Jack :)

I do indeed Shucky.
Big hugs.
TheLondoners, yeah probably, thought it's rumoured "adaptation" means, in this case, "flattened".
Krypton, cheers, it really is something isn't it!! Going to risk going out there soon, will get some photos of the rest of the site if all goes to plan :)
