Hi all, up early this morning to visit a yard that is partly still live, but has load of old Leyland lorries parked round the perimeter, being a bit of an old lorry nut, I simply had to trudge over wet fields, crawl under hedges, and generally get close to mother nature to see what the yard had to offer:

The yard belongs to a road maintenance company, but they must simply shove their old wagons to the extremities of the yards, how very thoughtful of them!:

Thats all from me, thanks for looking!

Nice find TK. I like this place a lot. I used to hate driving leyland dafs. The ford cargo's weren't bad though

Very nice find T.K. I have a personal interest in this kind of Plant as I work for a Local Authority shall we say. Especially the big Scarab Roadsweeper. I that a D.A.F by any chance?

Nice explore but i used to hate working on leyland constructors and ford corgo's wheren't much fun as well the daf is a leyland road runner and they where crap aswel. i'm a diesal fitter and used to work for a leyland daf dealership so worked on a few of theis type of wagons and even cut a few up.

Thanks for the replies guys, I guess there is no love lost for the Leyland Daf then! What I liked about the place is that I remember these trucks being launched and they were everywhere when I was growing up, now even though they ae still quite a modern design, you just don't see them, so to find a bunch in the trees was just the job for me.

Cheers

Ian
