Here we go. Reepham Station is on the County School Branch in Mid Norfolk to Wroxham.. It was opened in 1882 and closed fairly early in 1952 as the line never fulfilled its original purpose passenger wise. Freight lingered on until the early 1970s then the track was lifted. Now the station serves as a Shop and Craft Centre.

Right this is the Whitwell and Reepham Station, about a mile away from the G.E Station but on a different Line. This one was on the Norwich City to Melton Constable Line which closed with the rest of the system on the 28th Feb, 1959. The Station has been bought and track re instated to a former Headshunt, the station has many interesting Artefacts and one steam engine and a small Industrial Diesel Shunter.

Yes its completely different to when I visited 4 years ago, it was in a right state. Nice that its been done up and turnd back to what it should be used for.

Another great set of photos mate, bet you were tempted to have a go in the shunter!

T.K I did go in it! They have insatlled a short length of track up to was the former Headshunt. They run a small Baguely Shunter and a weenie 0 4 0 Saddle Tank up the Track. I was in the Shunter on the Footplate and had the chance to use the Airbrake and Accelerator!:)

I wish mate, I was picking an exhaust up for my Brother-in-laws lorry. It was a a quick get there, turn round and drive home I'm afraid (476mile round trip) didn't get a chance to see much. I did see the old RAF Woolfox lodge (control tower still standing) but it was from the A1 an I was doing about ... the speed limit shall we say... looks like there are a few buildings still standing and worth an explore (it has been done on here in the past). Next time I'm down that way I'll let you know mate

Nice one Jonney, there is plenty of Militaria down here to keep you interested. Are you into Airfields as well then?:)

just getting into them mate, did RAF Silloth the other weekend and I remember a few buildings remaining on RAF Brunton from when I was a kid so I'm going to investigate that one when I get time. The local ones to me have been done already but still worth a look
