Visited with Kent-Urbex.

History first:
This campus opened in 1968, was closed in September 2009, at which point all courses were moved to a new campus on Prince Arthur Road in Gillingham, Kent. The new campus, which has received more than £40 million of Learning and Skills Council (LSC) funding, has cost a total of £86million. It will offer training facilities in a range of subject areas including construction, performing arts, music and catering.

An "exclusive development of 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom executive homes" is what we can look forward to in place of the college. Hoorah.

It is a bit smashed up inside but there was plenty to see, I was surprised there is so much still around.

An afternoon well spent in my opinion. Thanks very much for looking.

I quite like the exterior. Not seen a report on it before either.

Most of the fittings look quite new! Always makes me wonder why they renovate these buildings to only knock them down a couple of years later!

I like your photos, can't believe how trashed its become in just a few months, or at least i wouldn't have believed it until i saw Buxton College in Derbyshire.
