After snapping the Walton Locks, it seemed a shame to go home on such a lovely day.
So I made my way to the Latchford viaduct, I’ve been there before but it was poor light and I had always vowed to return. So there I was!
250 feet and 1200 tonnes of Victorian engineering was opened in 1893 and carried trains right up to 1985. It was closed due to network rerouting of the Warrington and Stockport lines.

Rust – there was lots of this and it made the walk across very hairy!
