As you may know Havenstreet is the location of the preserved railway on the Isle of Wight - please see their excellent website for up to date information.

We visited this location for a car show and found all these lovely old railway vehicles in a field by the car park - so just had to go have a look.

If the dutch cameraman whom we met is looking - then hello, hope you enjoy the site.

Nice set of wheels

Haha, I have to say the Skoda is a surprisingly good drive- my new urbex machine!
Love old railway bits, it's just hard getting to a lot of it.

Pictures 15 and 16 - That looks like a deckhouse off a sailing ship. The Cutty Sark and SS Great Britain have almost identical deckhouses that stand atop companionways.
The portholes also support this.

Great find this. Been to Haven Street a couple of times when the kids were younger - never saw this though. More interesting than the train ride as it only ran to the next station and back!
Thanks for posting. Cheers Tony

Well MCL I have to say the car show was crap I cant believe some of the bigger dealers didnt even take some of their top of the range cars from the mainland to wow people just the bog standard tripe they have on the forecourts on the island day in day out. But seeing past all that they are some nice shots I never knew they were all sat there like that you must have parked in another field or further into the field than i did because I most certainly missed them. However I drove past this morning and I saw Thomas the Tank Engine being delivered on a low loader for its run on the railway hahaha. Keep up the good work.

Dan

Thanks for that MCL. When I saw Havenstreet I thought we were going to get a run down of the anti-aircraft defences/camp on the outskirts of the village !! Interesting pics though. Cheers.
