Thursford Castle was a local name in West Norfolk given to the Walsingham Union Workhouse that was built around 1803 as far as Black Shuck and I can ascertain. The whole of the workhouse was demo;ished in the late 70s leaving only a few scattered ruinous remains dotted through a large copse of broad leaved and pine trees. A boiling hot Sunday afternoon and the U.S.S. Flying Frog once again headed out across the Norfolk Flatlands, our primary target being the Workhouse Chapel. And heres what we found.....!!!

Beautiful! Looks like it's just rotting gracefully in the woods! Only looks like a light smattering of vandalism considering how long it must have been derelict for.
Nice find!

Always wondered what this place was, used to pass it on a daily basis. As a school kid about 25 years ago me and a mate cycled over here to have a nose around and there was a caravan hidden in the middle of it all with a strange old man living in it. He didn't seem to pleased to have a couple of school kids poking around, Guess that's long gone now?

As pointed out by a Rather cheeky M02W on the phone about 2 mins ago, I havent added my shots yet so here we are...
