Department of Employment offices (DEP) Runcorn Aug 10

Built at the same time as the infamous "Shopping City" these offices were used in the compilation of reports and statistics for government use (ie fiddling the real number of people on the dole).
Work has since been transfered to the new offices adjoining.
The building was in the process of being re secured when i gained entry, no doubt due to influx of "bagheads" and other undesirables, and as such is pretty much trashed.

Whatever it was, is long defunct! Apparently site when used was considered prime IRA target which might explain enhanced security, but the guy who told me that ( even though he used to work there) talks a load of bollox
