Default st. vincents school st leonards on sea sept 2010

this school has been in the local papers lately
it is due to be demolished and built into flats(a story we often seem to hear)
the site is still in good nick, but as usual people have been in ,taken the radiators, the wiring and even the kitchen sinks.so in places it's quite bare.
there should be alot of the old stuff there still, like all the artwok, but it has been taken
my self and kaboom got in there as the sun was coming up and had a good look around
    hope you enjoy the pics

the view from one of the roof tops
    is fed up!!!!
    hope you enjoyed!!
i am everywhere and i am no where :icon_evil

cheers dude for starting this off:) and just to carry on from cagedangel i have found out that it use to be a roman catholic convent back in the day and know that this was in use from before the 1950s till sometime in the 1990s. some of the girls that attended the convent were from broken family's or sent down as bad girls to be reformed by the nuns.there use to be a statue of St Vincent above the main door but that has gone and there is 2 video cams in its place. after the nuns left the convent it was brought and used as a school then a college.

    has anyone seen my keys?

this is my first time using a dslr so some of my shots might not be all that but i hope you like them.

    cheers Kaboom

    nice report

I'd hate to have to resort to nicking wire & radiators from buildings to get along..

    just a update

i popped bk to st vincents this morning. still being able to get in you are now limited to the corridors as someone has been in with a nail gun and securing all the doors.

pain in the arse??? yes but at least it stops the kids from wrecking the place

DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
