Shell test track Appleton July 2010

Visited this site with Evilnoodle, We came across this purely by accident, while researching another explore. I couldn't find much about the history of this place, possibly due to the fact Shell tend to be quite secretive regarding their research. All we have found out is that it was a test track, used for testing high performance oils and fuels. There wasn't that much to see really, but what was there was relatively in good condition, considering it has been closed for a number of years.

Not the most exciting explore, but it was an unexpected find while looking for something else, so was a bit of a bonus

How unusual. I like it. Great to see it still in good condition too.
