Thrybergh Country Parkis around 15km from Sheffield city centre. There's a reservoir and a disused waterworks with various buildings/filter beds. Not much left but it's quite interesting. There's a nice stepped cascade which is quite long. The reservoir was built between 1874 and 1880 to provide a source of drinking water for Doncaster. In 1977, The reservoir was decommissioned and subsequently bought by Rotherham Council in 1983.
Apparently it's due to be demolished to make way for an educational centre. Maybe it's already gone!?
The big building was well locked up. Couldn't see if there was anything in it:

There's more to see but I didn't take photo's of everything as I was with the family so didn't want to be too long. Wife's don't understand this sort of thing
