My first report, please be kind
Bit of History on the place:
Pets' Corner, Ayr was opened in 1939 by the Burgh of Ayr Council. The small area in the corner of Belleisle estate in the south-western area of ayr, housed 200 animals; including sheep, deer, rabbits and pigs. The place was visited by over four-thousand visitors per year. The park was earmarked for closure by south ayrshire council in early 2008 and finally closed it's doors for good on 31st March, 2009 after a petition signed by over 7,000 people was unsuccessful.
Not the most interesting of explores, and I'm no photographer, but I tried to get a feel for the place, which is very close to the hearts of many people in Ayr.
On with the few pics I managed to get in the dying light, having forgotten my tripod, excuse some of the shakey ones...
Overgrown Greenhouse, once used for growing various exotic plants
Inside the greenhouse
back doors to some of the animal enclosures
attempted, and failed, arty-shot of the door
pretty dirty handwashing facilities
Old Wishing well
there were a few pieces of agricultural equipment lying around:
Last I heard, the place had been completely flattened...
Thanks very much for looking at my first report,
Cheers, Chris
