recently a couple of friends and i embarked on what would be our first explore. we had settled on dalton towers because of the photo's and reviews we had read and the ease of access.

unfortunately our recci wasn't as accurate as we thought

our entry was as easy as planned and after sticking to the fence to avoid the camera's our entry was as easy as planned, once inside it was very apparent that it has changed alot over the past month and a bit, it didnt feel like the dalton towers we had come to know from the photos

upon climbing the stairs we discovered that there was now a security gate between floors 2 and 3, the other stairs were tried and surprise surprise there was the same gate there, however on that side there was a gap between the side of the gate and the banister large enough that the slimmer ones of us in the group could fit through.

every floor was stripped out, nothing apart from structural supports and walls, but we were all excited to see the view from the roof, at the top floor we entered into what appears to be an old boiler room, which was not expected, we were in the wrong tower! (Stafford Towers? or as the sign said, tafford Tower)

upon exiting the building logic would of said there are two buildings the other must be dalton, but after our earlier mistake we were more cautious. after looking around we found a sign, 'alton tower', bingo,

this was just as stripped out as the other building, after trying the stairs there was the same security gate but with no entry hole, another entry must of been there, after another look around the only other entry which might of been available had a metal builders gate panel thing infront of it which had been knocked over by someone or something, however by this stage the group was starting to lose moral so we made our excuses and left.

apart from catching a glimpse of security leaving through a gate from an upstairs window, and an empty security patrol car parked out the front on leaving there was no signs of security being close enough to get us into any trouble

if anyone has any information on how they have got to the top of dalton tower i would be very interested to know (pm obviously) as i would love to get to the top of it before it inevitably gets demolished

Please read the rules, and [ame="http://www.derelictplaces.co.uk/main/showthread.php?t=16286"]the guide to posting location reports[/ame] as this post kinda breaks half the rules and really doesn't follow the guide at all.
