The Central Viaduct was built during 1844, by the Great Northern Railway (GNR) and is 332 Yards long.
There are 2 over bridges with ornate ballustrades crossing the Aire and Leeds/ Liverpool canal,
the remaining structure consists of 15 arches.
The viaduct has been severed at both ends, and closed during 1967.
This was once the main route from/to Leeds central station,
which was replaced by todays station.
