I was staying in a hotel last night and it was near the Village of Mow Cop, a place I always wanted to visit since reading Alan Gamers book “Red Shift” Which featured it on the cover.
The castle can be seen from the village and the hill can be seen from miles around. It is worth visiting for the view from the top and the drive down to the railway crossing that is almost vertical.
Sorry about the quality of the pictures they were taken on a phone in the rain...
Wiew from the top on a windy and wet day....
Hope you liked the pics.
