Hi thought I’d get the ball rolling, started looking for sites in and around Mansfield, not ready for the general Hospital yet need to walk before I can run so to speak.
Spotted demolition of a set of Houses / Butchers which used to have a slaughterhouse in back. Slaughterhouse was up to 70s / early 80s (as father in law informs me) Butchers till mid 90s. Tried researching but couldn’t find any reference but not a surprise for Mansfield woodhouse.
Approached site to find revolving community CCTV across street, the site was fenced round but not locked at entry point weirdly!
Entered first house only to be met by cat jumping out window as I peaked my head through (cue horror film scene)! After reinserting my heart into my chest checked out the house, nothing special and apologies for flash it was pitch black.

After a look round decided to move to the out buildings off from the main butchers which did not have an entry point. Slaughter house bit was cool through with nice original features, winching tracks, weighing machine and what looked like the main slaughter area. Good state of decay paint / nature intrusion and no chav tagging!
