Hi guys,
quick report on a reptile and aquatics shop, i want to document it as its personal to me and maybe intresting for you,or maybe not?:
Bit of personal History:
i have been in and a mixture of working this shop for around 4 years.....
opened around 25/05/2007
Sidcup Aquatics was based in Bexley, Kent. The shop was run by Brian Freed, the former owner and manager of Dartford Aquatics. Sidcup Aquatics had a selection of both tropical and marine fish, as well as all of the equipment and dry goods, it later became a reptile and aquatics shop.
the original shop front:
Brian sadly passed away in 2010, im no good with times and dates!!
My friend alison then took over the shop (lacerta)
The shop continued as it was, but it was sooo much trouble (brian liked to bodge job things, and where he had made the whole shop he knew the faults he knew the insides and outs of the troubles the shop suffered, and had them off to a tee so nothing looked wrong,or went wrong!) we had nothing but trouble from the moment alison took over! we laughed about it and said it was cursed,if brian couldnt have the shop nobody could!!
after severe flooding and electrics going, giving up seemed a pretty good option, but no! untill the beginning of this year when a vivarium caught light due to bad wiring, lucky it was in the day when alison was there, and that was the final straw the shop had defeated us!
these pictures are of the last night we all stepped into the shop and packed everything up....
One last goodbye to the cursed shop....
The koi house:
marine room/water testing room:
african/goldfish room/inverts:
Main tropical fish room/counter:
The reptile room:
sadly its probably all painted over by now.....
THANKS FOR LOOKING.......
