Hey all, I walked up to Langdon Hills recently to take some shots of this old well. It turns out that it was built in the early 1900's by a local who wanted to sell 'medicinal' water which was rich in sulphates. However, in the late 1920's the five wells were shut down, probably due to pollution caused by drainage from a nearby tuberculosis hospital. This well is the only remaining structure.
