Crown House was a 10 storey government building constructed in the early 1970's, it housed the Benefits Agency and a county court. Not entirely sure when it closed, but there were furniture disposal notes that dated from the mid 90's and the Benefits Agency hasn't existed since 2001, so either way its been empty for a long time. Most of the building has been well stripped out, however the reception area and DSS waiting area had a few original features and fittings, and there was also a room with paperwork. Unfortunately the court part of the building was demolished in 2007 and has been used as a car park since. Visited with jacquesj, MD and Mr Sam.

Nice one. That building "design" is brutal!
