I haven't had much time for trespassing with my end of school exams being imminent, so when on a late night stroll I tried the tower's padlock for what might have been the 20th time I was pleasantly surprised to find it unlocked.

The tower itself was built in 1928 and the adjacent resorvoir in 1894, I haven't got any pictures of the reservoir but you can find some rather superb ones along with some more historical context by following this link. http://www.kenthistoryforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=10601.0

I got in as twilight was starting, made my way to the roof and took some internals on the way back down and out, there not great due to being hand held for the most part, with it being pretty dark in there at that time of day.

Not much towers over my "city", despite the fog and lighting you can just about make out the cathedral to the left and the gas holder that is now probably only a few weeks away from being demolished to the centre right.

Well there you go.

Nice one! Always dreamed of finding an open on like that, but alas not yet.
Hats off to you for doing it! Thanks for sharing! :)
