Right, here goes with my first write up of an urban exploration :)

Accrington and Rossendale college, Eagle street.
The now abandoned Eagle street building of Accrington and rossendale college was left to rot when the college expanded it's campus to accomodate all of the facilities located at Eagle street within it's main campus on Sandy Lane.

The building is well hidden, accessible by a large gate located just left of the top entrance to the train station. We found the building quite by accident. Infact none of us even knew it existed.

Summer 2006. After a long skate around the town we were heading towards Accrington Skatepark (Two minutes up the road from eagle street) when we spotted a roof that was skateable. After finding a way into the college compound and having a dynamite sesh on the roof. We realised we were standing in the now redundant old college grounds. We found a way in through an unlocked door labeled "13"

We entered.

I'll let the following images tell the rest of the story.

unfortunately after we left, other people found they're own ways in. We returned a week later and the rooms had been trashed.
Not just little bits of damage, were talking thousands of pounds worth.
The owners of the building were there, and we stopped and had a talk with them. As you can guess they weren't too happy with the damage done.

The area is now a popular site for "gypsie" caravans and is all locked off.

That's a really interesting explore, magaz...we don't get too many colleges. A shame it's all trashed now. Nice looking buildings too...love the construction area pics with the wooden stairs and house build. Nice one! :D

Cheers :)

update: a few friends went back tonight. The first building has been stripped bare inside, he reckons the gypsies had away with the wiring and lights.

There is a new alarm system on the college building... SO, I guess it's a no go now :(

Nice pics magas, liked the wooden balcony and wooden stairs and the pic you have taken through the cracked glass on the door.
