We were on our way to another explore and just before we parked up I noticed something out of the corner of my eye that looked interesting. After we finished up where we were I suggested we take a walk to try and find the place I had spotted. Within minutes I realised we had stumbled upon the place urban-dorset had recently found, so I will stick with that name. I didn't have long because we had a few more places to visit so I snapped what I could before we left. It is a lovely little place and I imagine it would have been absolutely beautiful in its day!

2 explores for the price of one! Love it! Just wish I could have spent a bit longer there!

Thanks for looking!

I wasn't expecting the bright pink. You can only just make out the buildings through the foliage

Nice photos. We never got to see the bright pink building, as we had to leave before we'd finished exploring.

Nice. Did you see the little underground icehouse too? Not overly interesting, but everything is worth looking at when out and about

Yeah the pink one caught be by surprise! This was a flying visit so didn't have a chance to explore everything. As soon as I recognised some of the buildings from urban-dorsets report I was determined to find the tree that is pushing the bricks out! Will definitely go back for a proper nose around as I know of a few more places nearby that might be worth a nose around.

We didn't find that, or do you mean the restored one at Painshill?

No its in this site, not overly interesting and maybe overgrown by now. This is the only image I have of it.

Aw no way! How big is it inside? I only had a quick scan about to be honest!

Trying to remember back two years is hard, I struggle to remember yesterday :) I think between 3-6 metre inside diameter and it looks like it drops inside. If it's anything like the local one here, probably 1-2 metres deep.
I think it was closer to the hospital building than the adjacent main road.

We certainly had a good look about, but didn't see anything like this. As you say, maybe closer to the hospital and maybe also completely overgrown now.

Well I am definitely going to have a revisit soon so hopefully I will manage to find this. I know of a couple of other potential explores a few miles away that we didn't have time for and I didn't like having to rush here. Now I have the perfect excuse to go back! Cheers for sharing that!
