Revisit to the place with Robert and his mate Christopher, the one that found an easy way in.

Someone had just been in as the alarm keypad was going off.

Headed up to the 3 rd floor first as done most of the others in last report. They started ground level as not been in before. when they joined me the siren was going off outside. Kept an ear out and got down to the first floor when the van turned up. Made a hasty retreat through the way in covering our tracks and put the entrance back in place. Quick sprint through the gardens and back to the car to catch out breath.

Bit of history if you didn't see the other post.

If it wasn’t for sex discrimination, Hendrefoilan House might have avoided its present purgatory. Commissioned by Welsh industrialist and MP Lewis Llewellyn Dillwyn, Hendrefoilan House was built in 1853 by William B Colling on the site of a medieval farmhouse of the same name. When Dillwyn died, his talented novelist daughter was not allowed to inherit; the house went to his nephew and thence to a series of private owners.

The Grade II* Hendrefoilan House was taken over by the university in the 1960s. It has been used for accommodation and teaching, and latterly for nothing at all. Water floods down the outside walls, leading to damp on the inside. "victorian society".

The place was bought in the 60s by the uni and used as lodgings for the male students, later used for classrooms. Now empty and slowly rotting away. They are doing some repairs on the building, but don't think its enough. Up for sale for a cool million. Bought for a quid originally.

Great shots matey! They were dumb security that's for sure! Great explore.

The problem with slagging off or poking fun at Security is that all types of people read these forums, possibly including the bosses of the firm looking after this place. They do it to suss out what is going on - well the boss of my local firm, who I know quite well, does. (It was he who introduced me to this site originally!) As Smiler says; it could be that they knew what was going on and were quite happy to let genuine explorers have a nice day, so getting a dressing down or even fired, because their boss peruses this or any similar forum, is not going to make them turn a blind eye any time soon in the future! By all means publish details such as time table of security visits, what they do on site, etc., but keep the slagging off/jokes to PM's. Well that's my personal view; however, in my old job I did have experience of what happened when a rather laid back security guard was replaced by an over diligent individual - a 'safe route' into an old tunnel complex became impossible and individuals started to gain access via crossing a very busy mainline junction. Costly fencing and near misses were the outcome of that.

Nicely done. There's still a chance to save this house, just a few issues about the ceiling. It's in not bad condition. And I agree with Dirus, security are there for a reason - your safety and to prevent theft.

It was just a bit of banter, with no harm intended. We had made a hasty retreat from the building and met up at housing estate to catch our breath and have a chinwag. The van pulled up next to us and one got out, said hello but did not ask us any questions, if we had seen anyone or was it us.
That is why the comment went up, as it seemed they were not bothered.
